Your security and privacy are important to us. Aussie Talent Group is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. In handling your information, we commit to:

  • Never sharing your details with third parties without your consent, except as set out in this policy or where required by law.
  • Not publishing or storing resumes and CVs on our public website.
  • Storing your information using secure, industry-standard systems.
  • Alerting users to recruitment scams and fraudulent job offers that misuse our name.
  • Responding promptly to any request about the personal information we hold.

AUSSIE TALENT GROUP PTY LTD (ABN 36 697 297 840, ACN 697 297 840) (“Aussie Talent Group”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is an Australian specialist financial recruitment firm with its registered office at 60 Martin Pl, Sydney NSW 2000. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What is personal information?

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), personal information means information or an opinion about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion, whether true or not and whether recorded in a material form or not. Any information that identifies you, or from which your identity can reasonably be worked out, is personal information and is handled in line with this policy.

2. What information do we collect?

We collect personal information when you register as a candidate, apply for a role, complete a form or email questionnaire, or contact us directly. Depending on how you engage with us, this may include your name, the companies or educational institutions you are or have been associated with, your qualifications, job titles, contact details, the information contained in your resume, and other information from which you may be identified.

Some information is “sensitive information” (for example, background-check results). We only collect sensitive information with your specific consent and where it is reasonably necessary for our services. Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you is not personal information and is not subject to the same restrictions.

3. How may my personal information be used?

We use your personal information to deliver and improve our recruitment services. This includes matching candidates to suitable roles, presenting candidates to employer clients, conducting the recruitment process, and managing our ongoing relationships with candidates and clients.

4. Is personal information disclosed to third parties?

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only with your consent, or where we are required or permitted to do so by law. Where disclosure is needed to administer our business functions or to provide our services to you, for example presenting you to a prospective employer or arranging reference and qualification checks, we share only the information reasonably necessary for that purpose.

Some recipients may be located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

5. How can I access, change, and/or delete my information?

You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you at any time by contacting your consultant or our Privacy Officer on 1300 156 375 or +61 2 7228 8847.

To request deletion of your details from our database, email our Privacy Officer at hr@aussietalentgroup.com.au. For security, we may ask you to verify your identity before we action the request. Please note that we cannot delete records we are required to keep by law.

6. Security

We protect your information using industry-standard technological and operational security measures, including access controls and encryption of data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the complete security of data transmissions or communications sent to or from us online.
